hello christmas tree!

So after begging Ethan for a couple of weeks now he finally let me put up the Christmas tree! We were supposed to put it up after thanksgiving but I couldn't wait any longer! We only have a small one bedroom apartment so we got us a tiny Christmas tree for our living room. We cannot afford and have no where to put a regular sized one. But it sure did turn out cute! We love it. I love Christmas! I am so happy to be spending this Christmas at my parents house and to have all my brothers and sisters be there! I am getting to ahead of myself though....I am forgetting about Thanksgiving! I was so excited for thanksgiving this year....we were supposed to spend it with my in laws  but it turns out Ethan has to work on Thanksgiving :( So i will be here at home by myself until Ethan gets off at 6 :( Not how I pictured my Thanksgiving. But I am going to cook a wonderful meal for him for when he gets home. Here I am complaining about being alone...poor Ethan has to go and work. I am so spoiled. I am so thankful for such a hard working husband who supports us and takes care of me. I love him!

Last night Ethan and I went to a James Bond party!! It was so much fun! We had a blast. Everyone had to dress up and we all looked legit! Everyone was also given a new name and a short sentence on who they would be playing. Then we had secret missions to accomplish! It was a lot of fun and the party was a huge success! My name was Letti and I was a sassy model from the outskirts of Hale. I had so much fun with it. The best was everyone introducing themselves as their new characters and playing them really well. Ethan was Norman the Mormon from Utah! hahahahaha it was hilarious! It was a great date night for E and I!

Letti and Norman kinda hooked up......

Mesa

This last weekend was so fun!  Ethan and I headed down to Mesa to see Chelsie and Benson get sealed for time and all eternity! It was so great and it felt so good to be in the Mesa Temple again. I cant tell you how much I loved being in the temple and looking at my husband across the room and remembering the day we were sealed together forever. I also loved that I was able to sit next to my  mom and hold her hand through the whole ceremony...yes I still do that even though I am almost 21. She is my best friend. Love you Mom! After we got out of the temple my sister had to take Chelsie and Bensons pictures so we got to walk around and watch my nephew Benson. He is the most handsome little boy in the world. We love him so much! Benson absolutely loves his uncle Ethan!

Chelsie and Benson

Benson and Ethan

Can you tell we are sisters?HA!

Thursday night was a lot of fun too! After Chelsie and Bensons reception Brittany & Shea, Janae & Walker, and Ethan & I all went on a triple date! The plan was to go goofy golfing but when we got there they were closed so we decided to play arcade games instead. It was a bummer though  because we had to rush around and we only had twenty minutes to use ten dollars! Mine and Ethan's favorite game was the basketball game. We tied 2-2 but if we would have played one more round I totally would have won! Friday we had to head off but before we did Ethan and I did a little bit of Christmas shopping! Ok so have you heard of the store: Charming Charlies???? If you have never been there before I advise you to go! Its at San Tan Village Mall. Its three huge stores FILLED with jewelry, purses and other accessories and they are all color coded! Its AMAZING! Ethan made me leave the store and walk over to B&N so that he could buy me some jewelry for my stocking :) Ah I cannot wait to see what he got me! I love and hate surprises. Ethan says the lady at the counter told him he did a really good job at picking stuff out. I cant wait for the holidays! Wish they were here already and wish school was over with. Ethan and I definitely need a break!

Bachelorette!

This weekend was just what I needed! Lately I have been feeling like I have no friends. Don't get me wrong I love my husband and he is my best friend but a girl has to have her girlfriends. I am sick of Thatcher where everyone is mostly singe so Ethan and I have no couple friends. But this weekend was so great. I got to see my girlfriends!! It started off on Saturday morning Janae, Britt, and I went to chandler mall for some shopping. Not just any shopping...sexy shopping for Chelsie's bachelorette party! We went to Spencers, Victoria Secret and Fredricks of Hollywood. Man did we get some good stuff! Later we all met up at PF Changs and had a great dinner, except Chels who had a pile of broccoli and Brittany who ate scallops instead of chicken (its a long story). After a fun dinner of sexy talk, we went back to my parents place and opened presents! It was so much fun and I hope Chelsie had a blast. I cannot believe she is getting married next week!

Sadly, Chelsie had to leave with her sisters to see her fiance. We wish she could have been there but the best part of the night was talking to Britt and Janae (and my mom) about friendship, boys, husbands, relationships, and old memories. It was a night that I desperately needed! I miss my girls so much and I cant wait to move down to Mesa so that I can see them more often! I am so grateful to have such great best friends! I know we will always stay close no matter what. I love you girls! Cant wait for Chelsies wedding and for our triple date after her wedding dinner!

my first fair

Our nights have been boring. After work and school we come home exhausted and either have to do homework or study for a test for the next day. After studying we may be able to fit in a TV show from our Netflix list and then its off to bed. Well this was not the case for last Friday night! Friday we got school off because the Safford fair came to town! We were so excited because we were actually going to be in town this year to go to it! Last year during that weekend Ethan and I took a trip to Sierra Vista for me to meet his family! That weekend we became officially boyfriend and girlfriend! So it was our one year anniversary! Anyway back to the fair! Did I mention that it was my first one??!!! I never really asked my parents why they never took us to any fairs....I guess we are more of a Disneyland family ....thank goodness! But the fair turned out to be really fun! It wasn't what I thought it was going to be like. I have watched plenty of movies and TV shows that had fairs in them. They always seemed so clean and safe. I didn't really trust any of the rides. I didn't want to get sick...or die! We did end up going on the ferris wheel! It stunk though because Ethan and I got our own...you know for privacy... but they made us sit on different sides from each other I guess to balance it out. We kissed a couple of times anyway but it was super difficult. We then played some games and Ethan ALMOST won me this cute bunny!! But they told us we won the stupid stuffed animal instead! We were so close! And of course we had some snacks! We settled with a bag of cotton candy and some fresh squeezed lemonade! So good! My favorite part was just walking around with Ethan laughing and having fun! It was a great night that we really needed! My other favorite part was getting the cup my lemonade came in! Haha I love it more than the stuffed animal Ethan won me! I'm sad we didn't bring our camera to take pictures but I took a picture of our prizes when we got home!

Ethan and I at Disneyland (looks like we are at a fair though) I just love this picture! Told you we were Disneyland people!

These are our winnings! Love my plastic lemonade cup!

comfort zone

Sometimes I need a little push to do something out of my comfort zone. I think I care too much of what people think of me. I guess I take after my dad in that way. My mom is the outgoing one who wont be afraid to take something back to the store even if you don't have the receipt, tags, and has been used a hundred times. None of us children took after our mom in that way except Brandon. I wish I had that quality..no offense dad :) I wish I was braver at times.I wish I didn't care what people thought about me...but I do and it bugs me! Well today I went out of my comfort zone.... not to my liking though....thanks to my husband. Agh I guess since I am the type to not take charge I have to have a husband that will help me in that area.

OK so here is the story. I have a bug that is automatic. Ethan has a small car that is stick shift. It has always bugged me that I have never been able to drive his car because I have never been taught to drive stick. So every night for the past week Ethan has been my driving instructor (a very good one at that) and has taught me to drive stick! I am actually really good and finally have it down. The only hard part is we live in Thatcher AZ where every centimeter it feels like there is a four way stop. I am not the best yet at making the car go without stalling it and those four way stops just kill me! But like I said Ethan takes me at night where the streets are empty and I don't have to worry about other cars distracting me. I have told Ethan that I don't want to drive in daylight especially since we live by the college where there is tons of college kids around and tons of traffic! Well this morning I woke up, got ready for school, went to grab my keys off of our key hook and noticed mine were gone! I looked everywhere but I knew I hung them up..I always do! So I went outside to check my car and it was gone too! My stinkin husband had taken my car so the only way I had to get to school was by using his car! He totally set me up! I contemplated about walking in the hundred degree weather but I knew I would end up being late. So I grabbed his keys, which he had already put in my bag, and headed out the door. He had nicely backed the car in so that I didnt have to back it out. I hate backing up. I was so angry that he had this all set up.... right as I was about to start the car I got a text message from the one and only....it was my husband. He said "Hope you have a good time in class babe!" I was so pissed and didn't bother to text him back. I needed to concentrate on the task ahead of me. Getting the car started. I turned it on and started to slowly accelerate. DANG it stalled... I haven't even gotten out of the parking space. I took a breath and calmed myself down and started it again. I got all the way to school without freaking out and was doing pretty good. Then the four way stops came. As I was heading up to the stop I looked around and was relieved to see that no cars were coming to the stop. Just my luck..as I started to stop and put the gear back into first tons of cars pulled up behind me! I start to freak out again.... I was worrying that they were thinking all these things about me... I was waiting too long at the stop sign..like I said it takes me awhile to start the car back up again. I hurriedly start going and nicely head straight through the four way stop. I pull into the parking lot and park in my parking spot. I DID IT! I was so proud of myself. I felt like I could conquer anything after that!

I went to class and sat down smiling from ear to ear. After a few minutes it wore off and then my stomach dropped. I am going to have to do this ALL over again after class! That's all I thought about the entire class period. I did great on the way home! Didn't stall once. I might have looked like a maniac but I did it! I would like to thank my husband for making me go out of my comfort zone and face my fears. I am so grateful to have someone who knows me better than I do and knows that I can accomplish anything I set my mind to. Thank you babe for believing in me and giving me that push that I needed. I am slowly on my way to not caring so much of what people think of me.

Best Friends

This post is dedicated to one of my best friends Chelsie Foster! For those of you who haven't heard Chelsie is engaged! I couldn't be more happy for her!

Chelsie and I have been through a lot together. We have had our ups and downs and have stayed great friends through all of it. I remember when we were in Junior High and High School and it seemed like all the girls around us either had their first kisses or had a boyfriend. Chelsie and I would always talk about our future husbands and always wondered how things would be when we finally had boyfriends. I specifically remember one night..I'm not sure if Chelsie remembers it...we had a lot of these nights together but I think it was either sophomore or junior year in high school. It was just Chels and I. Usually always was just Chels and I. Our parents used to tease us and tell us to go out and make new friends. Chelsie and I were just comfortable and content with each other. We were like sisters. Of course we longed to have guy friends to hangout with..but we went to Mountain View where there was tons of cliques. Anyway it was late at night and Chels and I were in her backyard laying on the tramp looking up at the stars. I remember talking about high school and how hard it was to find decent friends. I remember talking about how much we just wanted to know what it felt like to have a boy like us. To know what it felt like to hold hands with a boy or to actually have our first kisses. A little while later our conversation changed from our dreams of boys liking us to something a little deeper. We talked about us being faithful young women in this church. We talked about how we knew if we kept reading our scriptures at night, not going to those dance party's, not participating in the things of the world that someday Heavenly Father would bless us with good boys who will love us for who we are. Chels, I am so happy for you and I know Heavenly Father was looking out for us when we were lonely and sad. We both got just what we waited for. HOT BUFF RETURNED MISSIONARIES who love us for who we are. Thank you so much for being such a great friend to me and for being there with me every step of the way.

I am so excited for you and Benson to share the rest of your lives together. Benson, I have yet to meet you but you are one lucky man! I am so happy that Ethan and I will be able to be good friends with both of you and go on married couple dates. I love you Chels! You are going to be a gorgeous bride and a wonderful wife! Can't wait to see you!

absent

Ok so the last couple of months I have been completely absent from the blogging world. I feel like I have been so busy....

SO this entry is going to be all over the place but we are just going to do a little bit of a catch up.

So the beginning of July my mom and brother came up to thatcher for the fourth. We had a lot of fun together and it was so great to see them. Mom and Brett thank you so much for helping out with our yard work. You guys are the best. My mom had brought up a couple of surprises for me. The first surprise was a desk that she got from my grandpa for me to redo. The second was the most beautiful lamps for mine and Ethan's bedroom bedside tables. Ah I love them so much. They look so cute in our room. Thank you mom! I love you so much!

Cute lamps my mom bought us!

Ethan and I have since then made a couple small trips back and forth to Mesa and to Sierra Vista to visit our families. We love family time.

A week ago we got back from spending a week in Cali with my family! Best vacation ever. We love our family vacations every year to Newport Beach! I am the worst at taking pictures. I only managed to take three pictures the WHOLE trip. I am so lucky that I have a sister who is a photographer! Here are a couple of pictures from vacation!

 Family Pictures

We have the cutest niece and nephew ever!

Ethan and I at the Shake Shack
My dad and his "IDOL" Dave off of the TV show Storage Wars. You should have seen my dad.. he was like a little boy on Christmas morning.

Brett these next pictures are for you punk

Ethan and Benson were BEST FRIENDS this vacation. It was the cutest thing ever. They sat down by the waves for over an hour just playing together. Ethan is going to be such a great father.

A special thanks to my mom and dad for giving us such wonderful vacation! We had a blast this year and loved spending time with you. Thanks for all that you do! We love you.

Here is a fun video of our week in Cali that my dad made! Check it out!http://www.vimeo.com/27445804

So after vacation we had some big decisions to make. We were contemplating about moving into a smaller apartment because our house rent was getting too expensive. We prayed about it and got the answer we needed. The next week we were packing up boxes (actually I packed every single box in the house while Ethan was at work)and moved into a tiny one bedroom apartment that we now love! We unfortunately had to get rid of a lot of things to make everything fit. But we love it and got everything moved in before school started.

Goodbye cute old home!

School started this week and its going great so far. Here is my cute husband on his first day of school. We got him a whole new wardrobe of clothes when we were in Cali. He is such a stud!
