My Latest Project

So today I finally had time to take on a project that I have been wanting to do for awhile now. It is super simple and it makes a big difference. So to save money my husband is using my old dresser from college. The dresser is plain white and very modern. I wanted to give it a make over without painting it. So what I decided to do is buy some antique knobs!!! This is how it went:

The Dresser:

What you will need:
Blue Painters Tape, Pliers, Drill, and Measuring Tape.

I got these antique knobs that match our bedroom on sale at Hobby Lobby

First step: measure dresser drawers.

Second Step: take the painters tape and apply it to the centers of the drawers. You do this so that the outside of the dresser doesn't get destroyed when you drill the hole.

Third Step: Mark on the painters tape where you will drill the hole.

Then take your drill and make the holes through the dresser drawers.
Put the knobs through the holes and secure the backs on.

Our Little Home

Welcome to mine and Ethans home! Let me just say that I am very proud of our little house. With the help of my family and especially my mother it turned out just how I wanted it. Most of all the furniture is from garage sells or thrift stores and redone by either me, my mom, or my sister and brother in law. My style is very eclectic, vintage, antique and colorful. I hope you like it!

 Going into our Dining Room

Probably one of my favorite pieces of furniture. My mom got it at a thrift store and re did it in yellow for super cheap. She did an amazing job. And the glass window above it was my great grandmothers that was a window in her house on the farm. It's over 100 years old. My mom also just painted that black and it turned out great!

 The Living Room!!!!

Also one of my favorite pieces of furniture!! My mom got these at a garage sell and they were brown and worn and super ugly. My brother in law painted them for me and I picked out the fabric.

My younger brother Brett made this for Ethan and I for our wedding. He did such a great job! I just got some cheap ribbon and old keys and hung them on the hooks.

Hope you liked our home!

Best Husband

I have the best husband in the world. So the other day Ethan and I got into a little argument before he went to work. It was not a fight or anything really big at all. We made up before he left but I still felt bad. I decided that I was going to make him a really nice sit down dinner. I made lemonade, potatoes, and some really good pasta. When he came home I had the dinner table all set up cute and had some norah jones playing in the background. Dinner was so great. We had a nice time talking about our day. Then Ethan asked me if I checked our mail box and I told him I did and that we didnt get anything except for a bill. He then told me I must have missed something and pulled from under the table a purple envelope. I opened it up and read it. It was the sweetest card and letter apologizing for our little disagreement. I got all choked up and was trying not to cry. I then pulled out of the card the cutest necklace and bracelet. My husband knows just what I like. He is the best. He treats me like a princess. I dont know how I ended up with someone so great. I love you Ethan Amon!
