the honeymoon

So ethan and I had a great honeymoon! One I will never forget. So we planned to get married over spring break so we had a week for our honeymoon. We got married on a saturday and then we had an open house in Sierra Vista on tuesday so we couldnt go anywhere fancy. Here was our schedule:

Saturday night after reception:
Stayed at the Sheraton in Scottsdale

Sunday through Tuesday afternoon
Stayed at the Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale

Tuesday night through Thursday afternoon
Stayed at the Copper Queen Hotel in Bisbee

So it wasnt a fantastic cruise or a get away trip to the bahamas but it was the best week of my life. I just loved being with my husband. Spending time with each other and having a blast. We didnt need to go site seeing or hike volcanoes or swim next to a waterfall. We had our wonderful three hotels and we were satisfied!

The Second Hotel: Hotel Valley Ho. It was absolutely amazing! Our favoriote part was the huge bath tub!

The third hotel: Copper Queen Hotel in Bisbee

March 19, 2011-- best day of my life

I am finally married to the man of my dreams! The nineteenth was the best day of my life. The temple sealing was amazing and I loved every minute of it! I am so lucky to have such an amazing husband and I am so blessed. Thanks to all my family for helping out with the wedding. Natalie you did an amazing job on decorating my reception. It was just what I wanted. And Britt you took amazing wedding pictures. I love you all. Thanks mom and dad for everything! I appreciate you more than you know. And thanks to my wonderful husband for sticking with me through it all and letting me have my way! I love you so much! Here are some of mine and ethans bride and groom pictures. I will have more of the wedding day pictures up soon and also some of our honeymoon!

And a special thanks to my dad for the best marriage poem in our family yet. (if you dont know, my dad is a great writer and every time one of his children gets married he writes a poem for them and reads it to the bride and groom at their wedding dinner or reception.) Here is the poem:

Kayli's Wedding Poem     by Steve Connolly

Once we had, this little girl,
With olive skin, who loved to twirl.
Loved to be rocked, in mama's arms,
With her pixie haircut, full of charms.

A fun little girl, was our Kayli,
The center of attention, always wanting to be.
At her siblings events, it was always the same,
On the floor doing cartwheels, during their basketball game.

Mirror Mirror on the wall,
Who's the fairest of them all?
Hey! You're mistaken Kayli dear,
Why, that's the TV, not a mirror.

One day we took, this little girl,
To see the whales, in California's Sea World.
Hundreds of children, wanted to go,
But they chose Kayli, for the Dolphin Show.

The dolphin trainer, on a whim,
Knew not, that Kayli-girl could swim.
"Jump in and play" , he said with haste,
When Kayli dove, he barely caught her waist.

Mirror Mirror on the wall,
Who's the fairest of them all?
Hey! You're mistaken Kayli dear,
Why, that's your cell phone, not a mirror.

Anxieties we, often insight,
When we ask her to, turn left or right.
A bit Dyslexic, were afraid,
When she drove with directions, we always prayed.

At times she'd say, the funniest things,
It's what her sense, of humor brings.
My favorite Kayli'ism, is by far,
When she asked for a Whatchamammacallit, candy bar.

Mirror Mirror on the wall,
Who's the fairest of them all?
Hey! You're mistaken Kayli dear,
Why, those are my sunglasses, not a mirror.

After Kayli graduated, Mountain View with poise,
She left for EA, to get her degree in boys.
She spotted Ethan, who was simply the bomb,
He left a great first impression,  especially with Kayli's mom...

They enjoyed one another, became best of friends,
Spending every moment together, 'til semester ends.
Then, one day at Disneyland, on the Peter Pan ride,
Ethan asked "my" Kayli, if she would be "his" bride.

Mirror Mirror on the wall,
Who's the fairest of them all?
I used to know, but now I fear,
She stares at Ethan, as much as her mirror.

Today important promises, you both made,
An Eternal family's, foundation was laid.
Perhaps you gazed, into a temple mirror,
And watched eternity, become a little bit clearer.

Ethan...We give to you, our precious Kayli,
To help plant your own, Amon family tree.
She will give you smiles, and bring you to tears,
She'll look  into your eyes, as if they were mirrors.

Ethan, A few words of advice, I'll leave you now,
If you can't do a cartwheel, well you better learn how.
You still need to remind her, her left from right,
And if you ever buy "Sweet Hots", hide them out of her sight.

Don't play her in ping pong, you will never win,
Buy her creams and lotions, for her olive skin.
Have fun with our little Kayli, through the rest of your years...
Fill your home full of love, 'n hang a few old mirrors.

Mirror Mirror on the wall,
Who's the fairest of them all?
Today the prettiest bride, in the whole wide world,
Happens to be our little beautiful, Kayli-girl.
